Loading Filament

Loading/Extruding Filament



Cut the end of the filament at a steep angle (~45 degrees) above any ridges.

Example

Thread the filament through the guide tube towards the top of the tool head. Insert the spool onto the filament holder so the cut end goes towards the back of the cabinet.

Next thread the filament through the guide tube. The guide tube must be threaded between the top two black black bar as shown in the picture.

Loading the Filament

Select Change Filament on the main screen and heat the nozzle up to the appropriate temperature:

NOTE: You may need to select the Toolhead Icon at the top left to change the temperature higher

Caution! Nozzle will be hot.

Change Filament

Manually Change Temp for CPX

Insert the Filament into the top of the Toolhead.

If loading CPX, you'll need to readjust the green tension lever on top of the toolhead. Push it all the way back, and then 3 clicks forward. To reset it for PETG & TPU, push it all the way back and 2 clicks forward.

Click LOAD to start extruding filament.

Load

Let it extrude about 4-6 inches of clean filament to make sure it is a nice continuous flow.

Deselect LOAD by clicking it again to stop extruding filament.

Secure the guide tube by pushing it into place.

Clean the nozzle with the maroon scrubbing pad.

Caution! Nozzle will be hot.

You have successfully loaded filament and you are ready to start your next print! A job well done!
