Printer Connection Troubleshooting
With your printer not connecting to FabOne after attempting a power cycle, here are some additional steps to bring the printer back online.
The first step is to check the Internet Connector between the Kiosk's Computer and the Printer Itself
- Unplug the kiosk's power cable
- Unplug the internet cable from the back of the printer printer as shown in the image below
- Follow the cable to the floor of the kiosk and unplug it
- After waiting a few seconds, plug the printer's internet cable back in. Be sure to plug the USB End into the open port instead of its original port
- Plug the kiosk's power cable back in
- Check FabOne for the printer to connect
- If the Printer is still offline, take a picture of the cable connected and proceed to Step 2
The Second Step is to check the Cables connected to the Computer inside of the kiosk
- Unplug the Kiosk's power cable
- Remove the Rear or Side panel of the kiosk, allowing for access into the lower portion of the kiosk
- Unplug the USB connectors shown in the image below, there should be 3
- Plug those USB Connectors back into the same ports they were originally connected to
- Plug the kiosk's power cable back in
- Check FabOne for the printer to connect
- If FabOne connects to the printer, reattach the Rear/Side panel onto the kiosk.
- If FabOne still isn't connected, leave the panel removed and take a picture of the USB Connections
