Returning a Printer
**Required Tools: **
- 2.5mm hex key
- 4mm hex key
- Adjustable wrench
- Packaging tape
- Camera (for taking a few photos)
- Impact drill with a 7 mm hex socket attachment to remove mounts (for new cabinets version 1.10 -1.15)
**Printer Box **
- 2 large pieces of foam (top and bottom)
- 3 small pieces of foam (piece A, B, C)
- 2 cardboard (top and bottom pieces)
- 1 bed assembly Velcro strap
- 2 large printer Velcro straps
- Zip ties
- 6 fragile stickers
- 1 return label
Before you begin:
Task 1: Prepare the printer
1.0 Remove filament either by clipping with micro cutters (recommended for faster packing) or change filament button.
1.1 Turn off printer.
1.2 Unplugged printer power cord, printer USB cord and camera USB cord from behind the printer.
1.3 Unscrew printer mounts.
Task 2: Remove the bed assembly from the printer frame.
2.0 Remove the wire clip from the bed wires on left side & put into plastic bag

2.1 Unplug bed wires on left side.
First, GENTLY pulling the big connectors apart.
For the other two connectors, push down on the little lever while **GENTLY **pulling the connectors apart.
2.2 Unplug the bed wires behind the bed.
Gently pull out white connector.
For black connect, push down on the little lever while GENTLY pulling the connector apart.
2.3 Remove the cable chain by using the 4mm hex key.
2.4 Pull on the cable chain and rotate so it is vertical.
2.5 Unscrew the four thumbscrews to remove the bed assembly.
|| Bed should be pulled forward to unscrew the back two thumbscrews.
2.6 Lift bed assembly off the printer frame and put it to the side, out of the way.
2.7 Screw in the four thumbscrews.
2.8 Rest the cable chain on back bottom rail.
Task 3: Pack into Box
3.0 On a large work surface, lay the cardboard labeled “Bottom Piece” down as shown.
3.1 Add the Bottom foam piece so that the rectangular cutout is on the left side and fits inside the two black lines.
3.2 Set the printer in the bottom foam piece and tuck in cable chain into foam.
3.3 Put bed assembly into the bottom foam piece.
Slide bed backwards so that it aligns with the back side of the assembly.
Bed assembly should look like picture:

The bed assembly is in the correct orientation: Green tabs are facing up, no bed mounts sticking out & back bed wire connectors are not visible

3.4 Stack in smaller foam on top of bed assembly
Firstly, stack Piece A on top of bed assembly.
Secondly, stack Piece B on top of Piece A.
Thirdly, stack Piece C on top of Piece B.
Lastly, check over work.
3.5 Thread the short, white Velcro strap under center portion of foam labeled “Strap” (so that the words “For Bed Assembly” face up) and over bed assembly and secure tightly.
3.6 Push the tool head to the right.
3.7 Remove the camera mount and zip-tie into place.
Use a 2.5mm hex key and the adjustable wrench to remove the mount.
Put screw back into holes on mount and screw on the hex nut.
3.8 Push the tool head all the way to the left.
3.9 Add top foam.

3.11 Fold cardboard sides up.

3.12 Add Top Piece of cardboard on top.

3.13 Slide the long (printer) Velcro straps under the bottom foam and cardboard by lifting up one side while sliding in the strap. Repeat for other side.
3.14 Firmly pull straps to tighten and Velcro in place.
3.15 Set the box behind printer as shown so LulzBot sticker is on top and the opening faces the back of the printer.
3.16 Slide the printer all the way into the box.
**Task 4: Shipping **
4.1 Fold in side flaps and tape box shut.
4.2 Add a fragile sticker to each side of box.
4.3 Add the return shipping label to the top of the box.
