Swapping your Webcam

When your Webcam isn't producing a Green Light when plugged into the USB Port of a laptop or other device, here is our guide to swapping it out

Tools you will need:

The Red Hex Key Set from your drawer
A Flathead Screwdriver
A pair of Needle Nose Pliers

Task 1: Remove the Webcam and Webcam Mount from the Printer

Using a pair of needle nose pliers, hold the nut and unscrew the hex bolt using a 2mm hex key.

Remove the Webcam Mount from the printer by using a 2.5mm hex key and a pair of needle nose pliers.

Using a screwdriver, Pop the left or right side of the black bars holding the printer's cables as shown in the picture.

After partially popping out all the black bars, remove the webcam from the printer, then proceed to step 2.

Task 1: Attach the new Webcam and Reattach the Mount to the Printer

Plug the Webcam into kiosk after threading it through and snapping the last black bar into place.

Snap all of the black bars into place, making sure the Webcam comes out the top, past the first bar.

Line up the camera hole with the holes in the mount and make sure they are flush. Insert the screw into the hole.

Using the needle nose to hold the nut on the end of the screw, take the 2mm hex key and tight the nut on the screw.

Wrap cord over the mount and towards the cable belt. Start with the first ten and get the mount attached before finishing the wire channel.

Insert the screw in front of the wires from right to left as seen below. Use a finger to place the nut on the end and get the threads started.

Using the needle nose finish screwing on the nut until it is snug

That's the process for replacing the Webcamera to your printer. Let us know if you have any questions before performing the installation. Thanks!
